Minuteman Harley-Davidson was born on August 1, 2008. Owners Dan and Martha Desmond purchased the dealership that was formerly known as Big Boar Harley-Davidson, in Westport. On October 1, 2008 Minuteman Harley-Davidson moved to its new location in Dartmouth at 799 State Road (Route 6). Dan has a long history in the motorcycle business and with Harley-Davidson. He has been the General Manager at both Seacoast Harley-Davidson in North Hampton, New Hampshire and Seminole Harley-Davidson in Sanford, Florida. The Desmonds moved back north in 2008 after 2 years in Florida and are happy to be back in New England. The new store is 22,000 square feet with plans to expand both the Service Department, currently 9,000 square feet, as well as the motorcycle showroom. We will keep you posted on these expansion plans as they develop. We are proud of all we have accomplished in the few short months since purchasing Minuteman Harley-Davidson and moving to a greatly expanded facility. We have grown our staff from 7 employees to 27 employees, all trained and eager to serve our customers. We are looking forward to being "Your South Coast Harley-Davidson Dealer".

Minuteman –noun, plural -men. Date: 1774 A member of a group of men pledged to take up arms at a minute's notice during and immediately before the American Revolution. The term minutemen is used especially for the men who were enrolled (1774) for such service by the Massachusetts provincial congress.
